Imagine Gallery: Centralized Creative Hub

Character.ai's Imagine feature, which generates dramatic scenes and surreal visuals from chat conversations, now has a dedicated home. Imagine Gallery is a new section in the mobile app that brings together all past and present AI-generated images in one visual interface, eliminating the need to dig through individual chats.

Key Capabilities

The Gallery provides several utilities for managing creative output:

• Visual grid interface for quickly scanning and rediscovering generated moments
• Filter by Persona to navigate between different character contexts
• Save favorites for easy access to standout creations
• One-tap sharing to post to Community Feed, send outside the app, or download
• Chat backgrounds (c.ai+ subscribers only) - set Imagine generations directly as chat wallpapers

Imagine Message: New In-Chat Feature

Alongside the Gallery launch, Character.ai introduced Imagine Message, which lets users generate visuals from specific character messages without leaving the conversation. Users can swipe through variations within the chat and access the full suite of Gallery actions (wallpaper, sharing, favoriting) directly from the media viewer.

Future Expansion

The Gallery currently supports images, but Character.ai plans to expand it to include videos, comics, books, and other formats generated through chats. This positions the feature as a content aggregation platform that encourages extended creative collaboration across conversations.
