Cloudflare Access now supports policies for bookmark applications

Overview

Cloudflare Access now supports policies for bookmark applications, bringing fine-grained access control to bookmarked resources in the App Launcher. Previously, bookmark applications were visible to all users in your organization, but now administrators can assign the same Access policies used for other applications to control visibility.

Key Capabilities

With policy support for bookmarks, you can now:

  • Tailor the App Launcher to each user — Users see only the applications they have access to, reducing clutter and preventing accidental clicks on irrelevant resources
  • Restrict visibility of sensitive bookmarks — Limit bookmark visibility to internal tools or partner resources based on group membership, identity provider, or device posture
  • Maintain backwards compatibility — If no policy is assigned to a bookmark, it remains visible to all users

Supported Policy Features

Bookmarks support all Access policy configurations with the exception of:

  • Purpose justification
  • Temporary authentication
  • Application isolation
