UI Redesign and Interface Changes

The new beta release introduces a redesigned Cloudflare One Client interface with several usability improvements:

  • Connectivity toggle to button: The connectivity management has been restructured from a toggle switch to a dedicated button interface
  • Enhanced home screen: Useful connectivity settings are now directly accessible from the home screen
  • Collapsible navigation bar: When expanded, provides quick access to connectivity status, settings, and device profile information

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

This release addresses multiple critical issues affecting tunnel connectivity and client reliability:

  • Tunnel connectivity: Fixed tunnel connection failures when DNS search lists contained unexpected characters
  • Network performance: Switched tunnel congestion control from default algorithm to Cubic for improved reliability across platforms
  • Multi-user environments: Resolved unnecessary registration deletion caused by RDP connections in multi-user mode
  • Proxy mode: Fixed client becoming unresponsive due to upstream connection timeouts
  • Organization switching: Corrected emergency disconnect state persisting after switching organizations
  • SCCM integration: Fixed packet capture failures on tunnel interface when renamed by SCCM VPN boundary support

Additional Improvements

  • CLI commands are now clearly labeled as either consumer-only or Zero Trust commands
  • Added detailed QUIC connection metrics to diagnostic logs for enhanced troubleshooting
  • Added monitoring for tunnel statistics collection timeouts
  • Improved tunnel interface startup time by addressing race conditions between duplicate address detection and NetBT disabling
  • Empty MDM files are now properly rejected instead of being accepted as valid configuration

Known Issues

Several known issues remain in this beta release, including unexpected client termination during captive portal login, potential white screen display after device sleep, and DNS resolution issues in specific configurations with custom DNS servers. Cloudflare recommends users experiencing Windows 11 24H2 performance issues update to KB5062553 or higher.
