Cloudflare WARP Client for macOS gets UI redesign, improved tunnel reliability
WARP Client for macOS v2026.3.566.1 Now Available
Cloudflare has released a new beta version of the WARP client for macOS, introducing a significant visual overhaul and multiple performance improvements to the Zero Trust networking tool.
User Interface Redesign
The most visible change is a complete redesign of the Cloudflare One Client interface. The connectivity toggle has been replaced with a button-based control, and the home screen now displays more useful connectivity settings at a glance. A new collapsible navigation bar provides access to connectivity status, settings, and device profile information when expanded, improving usability and reducing clutter.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
This release addresses several important stability issues:
- MDM Configuration Handling: Empty MDM files are now properly rejected instead of being incorrectly accepted
- Proxy Mode Stability: Fixed unresponsiveness caused by upstream connection timeouts
- Organization Switching: Resolved emergency disconnect state incorrectly persisting after switching organizations
- Network Detection: Fixed device profile flapping issues when initiating network detection checks without available network
- Diagnostics: Added detailed QUIC connection metrics to logs for better troubleshooting
- Tunnel Reliability: Switched congestion control algorithm to Cubic for improved performance across platforms
- CLI Clarity: Consumer-only commands are now clearly distinguished from Zero Trust commands
Known Issues
Users should be aware of three existing issues that may occur:
- The client may become stuck in "Connecting" state—reconnect via Disconnect/Connect or change operation mode
- Empty white screens may appear after device wake—exit and relaunch the client
- Canceling login during MDM setup may result in an unrecoverable state—exit and relaunch
