Cloudflare WARP Client for Windows reaches GA with multi-user mode improvements
Overview
A new general availability release for the Cloudflare WARP client on Windows is now available. Version 2026.1.150.0 includes multiple bug fixes, stability improvements, and new configuration options for enterprise deployments.
Key Changes and Features
Multi-User Mode Improvements
- Fixed an issue where switching from pre-login registration to user registration could cause Mobile Device Management (MDM) configuration association to be lost
NetBIOS Over TCP/IP Management
- Added a new feature to manage NetBIOS over TCP/IP functionality on Windows clients
- NetBIOS over TCP/IP is now disabled by default and can be enabled through device profile settings
- This provides better control for security-conscious enterprise deployments
Bug Fixes and Stability
- Resolved local network exclusion feature failures when configured with a timeout of
0 - Fixed DNS request failures affecting clients in Traffic and DNS mode
- Improved client certificate posture check logging to only report results after user login
- Fixed misconfigured DEX HTTP tests that were preventing new registrations
- Enhanced device shutdown behavior when the daemon becomes unresponsive
- Improved accuracy of device colocation information reporting in the Cloudflare One dashboard
Known Issues
Users should be aware of three documented issues:
- Windows 11 24H2 users may experience performance issues (Microsoft KB5062553 or later recommended)
- A false positive antimalware warning may appear (update Microsoft Security Intelligence to 1.429.19.0+)
- DNS resolution may break in Secure Web Gateway tunnel-only mode with custom DNS servers (workaround: toggle WARP off and back on)
