MCP Apps with Interactive UIs

Cursor 2.6 introduces MCP Apps, a new capability that brings interactive user interfaces directly into agent chats. Developers can now embed rich visualizations and interactive components from popular integrations:

  • Charts and analytics from Amplitude
  • Design diagrams from Figma
  • Whiteboards and sketches from tldraw

This enhancement allows for more immersive and visual debugging sessions, code planning, and collaboration without leaving the Cursor editor.

Team Marketplaces for Plugin Distribution

Teams and Enterprise plan users can now create private team marketplaces to share plugins internally. Key features include:

  • Central governance for plugin management
  • Access controls to regulate which team members can use specific plugins
  • Easy distribution through a dedicated settings page for admins

This enables organizations to build internal tool libraries while maintaining security and control over what plugins are available to their developers.

Additional Improvements

The release also includes 15 desktop improvements and 10 bug fixes across the platform, plus 2 web improvements and fixes to round out the update.
