Self-Hosted Cloud Agents Now Available
Cursor has launched support for self-hosted cloud agents, enabling developers to maintain full control over code execution and data handling. This new deployment option addresses privacy and compliance concerns for teams that require infrastructure to remain on-premises.
Key Capabilities
Self-hosted cloud agents deliver the same feature set as Cursor-hosted agents while running workers entirely within your network:
- Full development environments with isolated execution
- Tool call handling performed locally on your infrastructure
- Automations and plugins compatible with self-hosted deployment
- Multi-integration support for triggering agents via Cursor editor, web app, Slack, GitHub, Linear, or the API
Data Protection
Your codebase, build outputs, and secrets remain entirely on internal machines. The agent processes tool calls locally without exposing sensitive assets to external services, making this ideal for regulated industries and enterprises with strict data governance requirements.
Getting Started
Teams can enable self-hosted cloud agents through the Cursor Dashboard and refer to the documentation for configuration details. Additional implementation guidance is available in the announcement post.
