Desktop Performance & Navigation

Discord's March 2026 desktop update prioritizes performance and navigation improvements. The app now features native back and forward buttons on the top-left corner that work like standard web browsers, including support for mouse buttons 4 and 5 commonly used for navigation. Behind-the-scenes optimizations have significantly reduced lag when navigating the app.

Enhanced Media Controls

Screenshare streaming now includes zoom and pan functionality using mouse scroll wheels or trackpads, making it easier to view details in shared content. Go Live single-window streams also launch faster. Users can now easily see the names and details of items being streamed, particularly useful for gaming sessions where fine details matter.

Gaming & Profile Features

The Game Stats Profile Widget now supports a second game account, with Wuthering Waves integration allowing users to display in-game achievements and Resonator favorites on their profiles. Voice channel invitations include a new "Invite to Voice" option that recommends both server members and close friends outside the server.

In-Game Commerce Integration

Users can now gift Marvel Rivals in-game items through the Discord Server Discovery feature. Navigate to Server Discovery → Marvel Rivals server → Game Shop to wishlist and gift items directly to friends, whether they're regular team members or new players discovering the game.

Settings & Accessibility Improvements

Discord's ongoing Settings redesign continues with cleaned-up layouts for Notifications, Voice and Video, Clips, and Streamer Mode pages. Updates include improved organization, styling consistency, and clearer phrasing. The role mention feature now allows clicking @Role tags to view up to 100 users with that role.
