What's New

Docker Desktop 4.63.0 adds SLSA v1 provenance support in the Builds view, enabling developers to track and verify supply chain security for their container builds with industry-standard provenance attestations.

Key Updates

Infrastructure Upgrades:

  • Kubernetes upgraded to v1.34.3
  • Linux kernel updated to v6.12.72

Platform Improvements:

  • Enhanced proxy settings UI with a separate proxy configuration option for containers
  • Fixed MCP catalog loading issue when server config objects contained "required": null
  • Resolved mcp-gateway hanging when fetching secrets from the Secrets Engine in Resource Saver mode
  • Rebranded "Docker AI" references to "Gordon" throughout the interface
  • Improved startup time on Windows

Known Issues

Note that the Windows MSI installer cannot update Docker Desktop from version 4.59 or later—you must uninstall the existing version before reinstalling. A fix is planned for a future MSI release.
