New Features

Gordon AI Hints: When docker build, docker run, or docker compose commands fail, Gordon now displays contextual suggestions to help troubleshoot the issue. This provides developers with instant guidance without leaving the command line.

OAuth Authentication for MCP Servers: Community MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers now support OAuth authentication directly in the Docker Desktop UI, simplifying authentication flows for users integrating third-party MCP servers.

Docker Hardened Images CLI Plugin: Docker Desktop now includes the docker dhi CLI plugin, enabling developers to manage Docker Hardened Images directly from the command line.

Component Updates

  • Docker Scout CLI updated to v1.20.1
  • Docker Agent updated to v1.29.0
  • Docker Buildx updated to v0.32.1

Bug Fixes and Improvements

For All Platforms:

  • Kubernetes now defaults to kind for new clusters
  • Fixed update progress bar not resuming correctly

For Windows:

  • Improved startup time by skipping docker-users group check when using WSL2 backend

Known Issues

The Windows MSI installer cannot update existing Docker Desktop installations from version 4.59 or later. As a workaround, uninstall the existing version before reinstalling. Note that this removes associated data.
