New Session Filters for Agent Management
GitHub has expanded its Enterprise AI Controls and agent control plane with three new filtering capabilities that enhance visibility into agent activity across your organization. These filters complement existing search functionality by agents and organizations, giving enterprise administrators more granular control over monitoring and management.
Filtering Capabilities
The new session filters include:
- Status Filter: Search agent sessions by their current state—queued, in progress, completed, failed, idle waiting for user, timed out, and cancelled
- Repository Filter: Track sessions by the specific repository where agent activity occurred
- User Filter: Identify sessions initiated by particular users within your enterprise
Why It Matters
For enterprise deployments of GitHub Copilot's agentic features, these filters provide critical observability into how AI agents are being used across teams. Administrators can now troubleshoot failed sessions, monitor resource usage by repository, and audit which team members are leveraging agent capabilities most heavily.
Getting Started
Full documentation on monitoring agentic activity is available in the AI controls and agent control plane documentation. GitHub also invites community feedback through their discussion forum.
