New Session Filtering Capabilities
GitHub has expanded its Enterprise AI Controls and agent control plane with three new session filter options, making it easier for enterprise administrators to track and manage agent activity across their organizations.
Available Filters
The new filtering options enable administrators to search agentic session activity by:
- Status: Filter sessions by their current state—queued, in progress, completed, failed, idle waiting for user, timed out, or cancelled
- Repository: Locate sessions by the specific repository where agent activity occurred
- User: Identify sessions by the developer who initiated them
What This Means for Enterprises
These filters complement existing search capabilities (agents and organizations) and provide fine-grained visibility into how agents are being used across your enterprise. This is particularly valuable for security teams and administrators who need to audit agent usage, troubleshoot issues, or understand adoption patterns.
Next Steps
To explore the new filters and integrate them into your monitoring workflows, see GitHub's documentation on AI controls and the agent control plane. Enterprise customers can also join the discussion in the GitHub Community.
