General Availability Release

GitHub's repository dashboard has officially exited public preview and is now generally available to all users. The dashboard provides a centralized hub for discovering, filtering, and organizing repositories you have access to, from personal projects to enterprise codebases.

New Features in General Availability

This GA release introduces two important additions:

  • Admin Access view: A new built-in view automatically surfaces all repositories where you have admin permissions, streamlining repository management and configuration across multiple projects.
  • Command palette integration: Users can now access the repository dashboard directly from the GitHub command palette, enabling faster navigation without interrupting your current workflow.

Core Functionality

The dashboard includes several key capabilities:

  • Unified repository discovery: Find any repository you've contributed to or have access to across your GitHub account.
  • Pre-built views: Start with curated views including My contributions, My repositories, My forks, and the new Admin access view.
  • Advanced filtering: Refine searches using filters for visibility, language, organization, and other properties. Sort by relevance to surface your most active repositories.
  • Saved custom queries: Bookmark custom filter combinations and instantly return to frequently-used repository views.

Getting Started

The repository dashboard is accessible through multiple entry points: visit github.com/repos directly, click the repositories icon in the top navigation bar, use the left-hand sidebar, or search for "Repositories" in the command palette.
