The team at HUD announced DataVendor after two years of development, aiming to connect researchers and AI companies with people and businesses selling data. Its marketplace covers private codebases, datasets, tasksets and reinforcement-learning environments for model training and evaluation.

DataVendor says sellers can connect their data sources, run automated quality checks and list their inventory to be matched with buyers. An estimator provides a price range and demand signal for sellers who want to assess their assets before listing.
