Custom Instructions Now Available for AI Meeting Notes

Notion has launched a new customization feature for AI Meeting Notes, giving users granular control over how the AI generates meeting summaries. This addition addresses the need for more personalized and contextually relevant summaries that align with team workflows.

How It Works

Users can now define custom instructions for their meeting notes by accessing the Instructions option in the footer of any AI Meeting Notes block. This allows teams to:

• Share team context about projects, priorities, and terminology to improve accuracy
• Define output structure by specifying desired sections and formatting
• Control tone and length to match how notes are used (executive summaries vs. detailed notes)

Getting Started

To use this feature, open an AI Meeting Notes block and select the Instructions button at the footer. You can then configure how the AI should process and present meeting information going forward.
