New Consent Controls for AI Meeting Notes

Notion has introduced workspace-wide consent controls for its AI Meeting Notes feature, allowing administrators to enforce compliance policies across their entire organization.

What's New

Workspace owners can now:

• Set a mandatory consent message policy at the workspace level
• Ensure all meeting participants are automatically notified when AI Meeting Notes transcription is active
• Configure this setting directly from Settings → Notion AI → AI Meeting Notes

How It Works

When enabled, a consent message will automatically play at the start of each transcription, informing participants that their meeting is being recorded and transcribed using AI Meeting Notes. This ensures transparency and compliance with recording policies.

Configuration

The Enforce consent for all workspace members toggle gives admins the ability to update the consent policy at any time, making it easy to adjust compliance requirements as needed. This is particularly useful for organizations operating under different regulatory requirements or internal privacy policies.
