Custom Skills for Notion AI

Notion has launched custom skills, a new capability that lets users create reusable AI commands for repetitive tasks. Rather than repeating the same AI instructions, teams can now define custom skills once and access them repeatedly.

How It Works

Custom skills integrate seamlessly into Notion's AI interface:

• Designate a page as a skill by opening the menu and selecting Use with AI → Use as AI skill
• Access skills directly from the text selection menu or by @mentioning them in agent chat
• Manage all skills centrally from Settings → Notion AI → General

Team Collaboration

Since custom skills are stored as pages, the entire team can discover, use, and build upon the same set of skills. This creates a shared library of AI automation patterns that scales across your organization.

Availability

Custom skills are available on Notion's Business and Enterprise plans. This positions the feature for teams that need standardized AI workflows and collaborative automation capabilities.
