NVIDIA IGX Thor Platform Launch

NVIDIA has announced IGX Thor, an enterprise-ready edge AI platform purpose-built for mission-critical industrial, medical, and robotics applications. The platform combines server-class AI performance with industrial-grade hardware reliability, advanced functional safety capabilities, and extended lifecycle support—addressing the growing demand for deterministic, safety-compliant AI inference at the edge.

Product Family

The IGX Thor family includes four purpose-built configurations:

  • IGX T5000 System-on-Module (SoM): Compact, embedded form factor with 2,070 FP4 TFLOPS, designed for integration into custom carrier boards
  • IGX T7000 Board Kit: MicroATX form factor scaling to 5,581 FP4 TFLOPS with expanded I/O, optional discrete GPU support, and dual 200 GbE networking
  • IGX Thor Developer Kit: Full-featured development platform with advanced sensing and robotics support
  • IGX Thor Developer Kit Mini: Space and power-constrained variant for mobile robots and compact systems

  • Compute: NVIDIA Blackwell GPU with 2,560 Arm Neoverse-V3AE CPU cores and multi-instance GPU capabilities
  • Memory: 128 GB LPDDR5x with 273 GB/s bandwidth
  • Functional Safety: Integrated Functional Safety Island (FSI) in SoC and safety MCU modules, compliant with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 standards
