Themes for Codex App
The Codex app now includes a full theming system accessible through Settings. Users can customize the application appearance by selecting a base theme and adjusting individual color properties including accent, background, and foreground colors. The UI and code fonts are also configurable, allowing teams to tailor the interface to their preferences.
Custom themes can be created and shared with team members, enabling consistent visual experiences across development teams. This addresses the common need for accessibility customization and reducing eye strain during extended development sessions.
Revamped Automations System
The automation system has been significantly restructured with several developer-focused improvements:
- Flexible Execution: Automations can now run either locally on your machine or on a worktree, providing flexibility based on your infrastructure preferences
- Custom Configuration: Define custom reasoning levels and models for individual automations, moving beyond one-size-fits-all automation behavior
- Template Support: Access a curated library of automation templates to quickly discover and implement new automation patterns
These changes enable more granular control over automation behavior and resource allocation, making it easier to optimize for specific workflows without modifying core configuration files.
Getting Started
Users can access the new theme settings from the Settings menu and explore automation templates from the Automations section of the app. The revamped automations interface provides immediate access to execution options and configuration controls.
