Linear adds advanced filters and private team issue sharing in February release

Advanced Filters for Precision Views

Linear now supports advanced filters with multiple AND/OR conditions, allowing users to combine fields like Priority, Labels, and Customer status in a single view. This enables teams to track specific issue sets more effectively—for example, high-priority bugs for prospective customers can be consolidated into one dashboard view.

Users can access advanced filters through the filter menu or use AI filter to describe their needs in natural language. Filters can power targeted dashboards and support view subscriptions for notifications when issues match specified conditions.

Private Team Issue Sharing

Enterprise plan users can now share individual issues from private teams with external collaborators without granting broader team access. This is particularly valuable for sensitive teams like security or HR, where specific problems need outside expertise without exposing the entire team's data. Shared issues display a prominent banner indicating visibility scope.

Mobile and Integration Improvements

The update brings project and initiative creation to Android and iOS, enabling teams to capture ideas on-the-go. A new Gemini Enterprise connector lets users create issues and access existing project data directly from Google's workspace.
